"Perchance to Dream" stars Richard Conte as a man who believes that when he goes to sleep he will die, as he is haunted by a Cat Girl from a carnival, who taunts and torments him, each dream continuing on from the last.  But he also has a heart condition that requires sleep...so he is really trapped in a damned if he does damned if he doesn't situation.  He arrives at a psychiatrist office to tell his tale.  

This is the first episode of the show to be written by someone other than Rod Serling, written by Charles Beaumont and based upon his own short story.  I think it is a solid story, and the direction and Conte's performance elevate it into a good little episode.  It's not one I've thought aboutvery often, but I did enjoy revisiting it here.
